Fundraising Goals:

Staff development and retention

  • Paid Director position (currently unpaid for approximately 35 hours per week)

  • Recruiting, hiring, and training new staff – with a limited supply of S2C Practitioners or teachers, we must stay ahead of student demand by recruiting and training additional teachers and aides, who also need a competitive salary.

  • Employee Benefits - health insurance stipend, 401K, and other employee benefits.

Computer Lab – Computers for every student with safe electrical outlets and wiring. We want a wireless setup for student safety and efficiency. We need greater wireless bandwidth for multiple users and a small onsite server for the Center.

Facility improvements

  • Bathrooms - new sinks, faucets, tile

  • Water heater

  • Window coverings 

  • Retrofit Fluorescent Lights to eliminate buzzing and blue light

Student scholarships– Tuition assistance for families in need ($40k per year) with private coaching sessions to train parents/guardians in Spelling to Communicate.

Group Transportation- Small bus or Van for transportation to and from school and field trips for community outreach and career training.
