Who we are:
Spellers Building Bridges is a 501(c)3 charitable organization comprised of neurodiverse young adults working towards educating the community and eliminating negative perceptions that suggest we can’t learn or love the way neurotypicals can. We want to be accepted in the community without judgment or discrimination. We have created an educational setting that is always accepting and allows our students to be successful.
Mission: The Solution for Our Community
Our mission is to prepare young adults for the next stage in life by Presuming Competence and supporting their bodies using S2C as primary means of communication. We provide a safe and accepting environment for neurodiverse adults to excel with access to college, careers, and community through education, training, and social inclusion. We embrace neurodiversity without judgment or discrimination and work to empower neuro-diverse individuals to take control of their own lives through self-determination.
What we want you to know…
“A future that gives neurodiverse individuals a chance to achieve their dreams and live the lives they deserve without discrimination.” ~ Hunter Oliver
“Freedom to use our preferred method of communication without intervention or scrutiny from others. Changing the average understanding of how our brains and bodies operate generates an understanding of how to respect us.” ~ Shane Alvado
“The massive shift in perceptions often held about people that have motor differences that suggest we can’t learn or love the way a neurotypical can. We want to be accepted in the community without judgment or discrimination.” ~ Austin Keefer
